Is it suitable for people with nut allergies?

There are no nuts in the ingredients of the granola, therefore you can also eat it if you have a nut allergy! However, we must point out that the production plant of the granola also processes nuts and peanuts. Therefore traces of these cannot be avoided completely.

What is amaranth?

Amaranth is a plant with seeds that closely resemble millet, which can be used the same way. Amaranth is gluten-free and very filling, and also referred to as a pseudocereal.

What are chia seeds?

Chia seeds are the fruits of the Mexican chia-plant. The small seeds are also known as superfoods and are an alternative to flaxseeds. While having few calories, they are full of protein, known for their large amount of omega-3 fatty acids and other important nutrients.

What are rice balls?

Rice balls are small puffy balls produced from rice flour using a special process. They are sugar-free, loosen up the muesli mixture and add an extra portion of crunch.

What are cocoa nibs?

These are crushed cocoa beans and thus a very original form of cocoa. They are first peeled and then broken into small pieces. During drying, a chocolaty taste with a tart aroma develops. They assimilate the chocolate flavor, also in terms of the happiness feeling.

What does the cocoa content say about the chocolate?

The higher the cocoa content, the darker and purer the chocolate. That is why the cocoa content in our Granola is 70%.

What does the Fairtrade mark on the product mean?

The quantity of cocoa required, traded and audited as Fairtrade, ensuring cocoa producers receive Fairtrade terms. It may be mixed during processing with non-certified cocoa, so that the total matches the amount sourced as Fairtrade (mass balance). For more information visit info.fairtrade.net/sourcing.

How do I dispose of the packaging?

For the Granola we use an innovative material mixture based on natural renewable resources. Currently, it is only fully compostable under industrial conditions according to DIN EN 13432, which is why you can't throw the film onto your own garden compost or dispose it in your biowaste. This is incredibly unfortunate, as the film could theoretically be disposed of with the biowaste. I hope that the German disposal system will evolve soon, until then please dispose of the foil in Germany using the "Gelber Sack" (yellow bag). For information on other countries, it is best to contact your local authorities.

Why did I choose this packaging?

I am very happy that we have found packaging options made from renewable materials that do not require fossil fuels for their production. However, we will continue to look for the best possible solutions for you in the future - from content to packaging.
