Why do we use coconut blossom sugar?

Coconut blossom sugar is extracted from the blossoms of the coconut palm and is an alternative to white cane sugar. You can use it just like cane sugar. It has the advantage of a particularly pleasant and soft sweetness. Coconut blossom sugar gives your products and dishes a delicious caramel taste. For us, this is one reason why we only use sugar from the coconut blossom in our products.

What is the difference between cocoa butter and butter made from milk?

Cocoa butter is made from cocoa fat instead of cow’s milk. There is a smaller carbon footprint and it is an important part of why chocolate is so delicious :)

What does the cocoa content say about the chocolate?

The higher the cocoa content, the more pure the chocolate. However, it should be raw, heavily de-oiled and without additives - even without added sugar and especially cane sugar. That is why the cocoa content in our chocolate chips is 70%.

How do I dispose of the packaging?

We used compostable material for the chocolate chips. In fact, you can just toss the packaging on your compost. It takes a while for the packaging to completely dissolve. For our German customers, the current guidelines about the Biotonne prohibit the disposal of compostable packaging in it. So if you don't have a compost, it is best to just toss it in the household trash.

Why did I choose this packaging?

I am very happy that we have found packaging options made from renewable materials that do not require fossil fuels for their production. However, we will continue to look for the best possible solutions for you in the future - from content to packaging.
