Your privacy is important to us. In the following, we explain how we collect and use your personal data:

Description of data processing

Data which you provide us as part of a competition or giveaway will only be used for the purposes of determining and contacting the winner. Data processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect (for more information on your right to withdraw consent, see “Your rights as a data subject”).

Storage duration

As a matter of principle, we store and process your personal data only for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected. We therefore delete/destroy your data after the competition is completed, unless storage is further required to comply with commercial and tax law regulations. Some retention periods are determined by the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch, HGB) and the German Tax Code (Abgabeordnung, AO) and usually constitute six to ten years. This data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with the relevant regulations. In the event of a win, your data will be stored for duration of the statutory time limitation period, usually a period of three years, due to our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, to evaluate potential warranty claims.

Transmission of data (Data recipients)

We do not disclose your data to third parties. Your data will not be sold or otherwise traded to third parties, nor is any data processed outside of the EU or the EEA.

Your rights as a data subject:

Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to information from the controller on the personal data we hold concerning you, as well as the right to the correction of any data we hold pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, or the deletion of such data where one of the reasons listed in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g., if the data is no longer required for the purposes it was collected. You also have the right to restrict processing if one of the conditions set out in Art. 18 GDPR applies. Additionally, you have the right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR. If you have granted us consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent with future effect. The lawfulness of data processing conducted prior to the withdrawal of your consent remains unaffected. On your withdrawal of consent, we will cease all further relevant data processing.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe the processing of data concerning you violates statutory data protection provisions. The right to lodge a complaint may be exercised before a supervisory authority in the Member State where data subject resides or in the place of the alleged infringement.
